A Sweet sixteen
August 2017

Girls and guys got glammed up for our first event to celebrate their 15th and 16th birthdays. I Heart Radio joined in and helped celebrate their birthdays by throwing a mass sweet sixteen for 23 teens in foster care.

Why Foster Teens

Teens in foster care are often seen as trouble-makers. Many don't take the time to see the potential in them. They are just children who have had a rough start through no fault of their own. They need people to believe in them. We want to give incentives for them to succeed because we believe they can.

About the Founder

Jazmin was adopted as a child by an amazing mom who just wanted her girls to be happy and healthy. When she turned 15, her mom celebrated with a traditional Cuban Quince.  Jazmin had never heard of it and was so grateful that she was able to experience it. She felt she needed to pay it forward and began talking about doing this for other girls who may not have this chance. The family got together and began planning and sharing details on social media. Once it began to take off, more ideas began flowing. A Sweet Chance has quickly evolved into an organization that gives incentives to teens in foster care to show them they are loved. Jazmin continues to put in 110% to ensure that the community is also involved in helping the teens.
